The Vivid was a metal version of the Vickers Vixen. While G-EBPY's registration record starts in 1931, the year Vickers sold it to a private owner, the registration was allocated and used in 1927. The private owner used the Vivid for a successful record flight from Heston to Berlin and back. G-EBPY was destroyed in a hangar fire at Broomfield Aerodrome, Chelmsford on September 18, 1932.
