Experimental catapult-launched shipboard fighter using the construction methods developed by the French Wilbault company. Deliberately low-powered with an Armstrong-Siddeley Lynx of 235hp. The Vireo (Latin for greenfinch) suffered handling problems and the Fleet Air Arm lost interest in a low-powered fighters. Neither the Vireo nor the competing Avro Avocet were ordered into production. N211 is test serial, not a military one.
