This 417 Sqn Starfighter out of Cold Lake, AB previously had serial 12643 in the RCAF days. By the time the CF-104 was retired in 1987, 104643 was an instructional airframe marked 877C. The C denoted an incomplete airframe or a major component. Last military service was as a Aircraft Battle Damage Repair trainer assigned serial 211AC at CFB Trenton. Stored in 1995, the aircraft (by this time a fuselage only) was sold and stored at Markham Airport, ON in 2007. In May 2023, it moved by truck to California for restoration by a new owner.
