Built as a Republic F-84F-66-RE and delivered to the USAF as 53-6806, this Thunderstreak was transferred under MDAP to the R Belgian AF in February 1957 to become FU-154, serving 2 Wing with code 'RA-I' at Florennes. In 1972 it was withdrawn and placed at Koksijde AB along with many others and later moved to Florennes as a decoy. Latterly displayed near the base on a roundabout in an increasingly weathered silver finish, in 2017 a truck collided with it having failed to brake in time in the rain, so it was taken back to Florennes for this smart restoration and detailing by 2 Wing.
