PL-12T-320 was powered by a Continental Tiara 6-320 engine, which was more powerful than the standard Continental O-520. The Tiara engine was not a success and went out of production. Transavia got the extra power it sought by switching to the Lycoming O-540 for the T-300 that appeared in 1979.
