This magnificent aircraft entered service in July 1945 and flew primarily with the Naval Air Reserve before being retired from service. She is now on display in the colours of VMF-214 WWII ace Gregory 'Pappy' Boyington at the super National Naval Aviation Museum. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
