Having flown for Swissair and JAT Yugoslav Airlines this DC-10 was taken over by Northwest Airlines in 1995. Northwest retired the aircraft in 2002 and sold it for part out to Charlotte Aircraft Corporation. Officially registered as N228PR this aircraft still carried its former registration N228NW.
