A77-851 was Delivered on the 20/08/52. Served in Korea with 77 Sqn. and was named 'Halestorm'. Halestorm was flown by Sgt George Hale who shot down a MIG during the Korean War on 27/03/1953. Converted to U.21A late in its career the aircraft was struck off 08/01/64. Its nose has been a museum exhibit until it was incorporated into another surviving airframe last month. Now on display at Fighterworld Williamtown. This photo is copyright © Dave Soderstrom, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
