The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk is an American single-engine, single-seat, all-metal fighter, and ground-attack aircraft that first flew in 1938. This aircraft 41-13600, a P-40F (the first of its kind), photographed here in 1942 probably at the Curtiss Factory, Buffalo New York, with the fitted experimental high tail fin. Scanned from an original reproduced photograph from my collection, and photographer unknown.
