Hertfordshire was the name given to a military variant of the DH.95 Flamingo, with oval windows and 22 seats on benches alongside the cabin walls. R2510 was the sole example. It was issued to No 24 Sqn at Hendon which operated a hotchpotch of communications aircraft, including several Flamingos. It crashed at Mill Hill after take-off from Hendon on 23 October 1940, with the loss of eleven lives. Photo from: Imperial War Museums
