A marvelous looking, but toned-down Intruder of Attack Squadron (VA) 35 "Black Panthers". It was part of Carrier Air Wing EIGHT, at that time assigned to the USS Theodore Roosevelt. The squadron just returned from a cruise with the USS Nimitz (30 Dec'86- 2 Jul'87) which brought the Black Panthers around Cape Horn, from the East Coast to the West Coast. This Intruder was delivered to the US Navy in 1974, was moved to AMARC on 21 December 1995 and remained in storage with inventory code 5A0180 up to February 2016.
