Returning from an Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) mission, this MiG carries a live R-73 (NATO reporting name AA-11 Archer) air-to-air missiles. The aircraft is also furnished with "25 years MiG-29" markings within the Bulgarski Voenno Vzdushni Sili (BVVS, Bulgarian Air Force). The Fulcrum belongs to 3 Iztrebitelna Aviacionna Basa (3.IAB) at Graf Ignatievo. The unit is slated for transition to F-16 in the future (with a possible interim fighter as gap filler).
