Six new Lysanders were ordered by Ireland in 1939, each costing £6250. They were all delivered on 15 July 1939 and assigned to No 1 Fighter Squadron in August. 61 was converted to target tug by Short in Belfast in September 1944. It was withdrawn from use in December 1946. Photo by: William Vandivert / Life This photo was added on 3 November 2022, and has since been viewed 1108 times. |
