Westair Transport operated from 1947 until 1960. Photo assumed taken at the new Sea-Tac airport, given the source. The company flew primarily between Seattle and Alaska, but N1248N ditched off Florida on 5 June 1950 on a flight from Puerto Rico after both engines failed. MTOW had been exceeded by 258 pounds and the aircraft carried no less than 65 people, 28 of whom perished.
