The Cub is one of greatest, yet unsung, aeroplanes in the world of aviation. Whether operating from the crudest, African jungle strip or icy Siberian Waste, the An-12 can do the job. There have been losses but mostly this was because the 12 was operating under such severe conditions that Hercs (or equivalent) would long since have become unservicable. I love this plane!
