Photographer not known. XP761 made its last flight on 14 October 1974, after only ten years in service. It was later allocated maintenance serial 8438M and issued to the Lightning Servicing School at Binbrook. From 1982 to 1986 it was one of several retired Lightnings parked on the airfield as a decoy before being burnt on 10 November 1986. This photo was added on 30 September 2022, and has since been viewed 329 times. |
