This new-build Yak 3U was constructed in Romania by Avioane Craiova in 2005. Powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-2000 Twin Wasp, it was initially registered N46463. It's as fast as blazes and in 2011 set a Class world speed record of 416 mph. Exported to Australia, it was registered VH-YOV on 24 December 2013.
