The DRF base located just next to the medical clinic in Friedrichshafen is a so called RTH (Rettungshubschrauber) base and operates an EC135/H135. The heli is on daily stand-by between 7am and sunset. Even though no night flying nor rescue hoisting is done from this base, this H135 is still called to assist in more than 1000 medical emergencies anually.
