With its Fowler flaps set at 5 deg, this Dornier from INAS 310 "Cobras" takes to the air at around 95 kts during Aero India 2021 amidst IAF roundels. The unit was commissioned on the Alizé at Hyéres by Amb. Nawab Ali Yavar Jung on 21 March 1961 as IN's first ship-borne ASW/MR unit, flying off INS Vikrant. The "Cobras" transitioned to the Do-228 in Aug. 1991. True to their motto 'First In and Last Out', INAS 310 remains the Indian Navy's most decorated unit, having received three unit citations.
