Not repaired after this accident. RNZAF Eyreton was also known as Harris Field. While some sites say the aerodrome was never built this accident was not the only one at Harris Field during World War II. The marker behind shows that on this day at least a runway was marked out. Eyreton may have functioned as a landing ground for student pilots but not otherwise used.
