Designed in the 30's, Howard and Joe Funk formed the Akron Aircraft Company in 1939 to produce their Funk B two seat airplane. In 1941 the company moved to Coffeyville, Kansas and was re-named the Funk Aircraft Company. This Early Funk B was built in 1940. Part of the EAA Airventure Museum collection, it has the Funk - Akron Aircraft Company logo on the tail.
