This Fishbed-J was taken on charge by the NVA (Nationale Volksarmee (National People's Army) - the East German AF) in 1974 but by 1980 had been relegated to use as a ground instructional airframe. In 1993 it passed to a private collector but is now on display at the very interesting NVA Museum on the island of Rügen. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
