Prototype Global 7000 (BD-700-2A12) undergoing checks outside the Bombardier Aerospace factory at Toronto's Downsview Airport (CYZD) a little more than two weeks prior to its first flight on Nov. 4, 2016 under the command of Captain Ed Grabman, assisted by his co-pilot, Jeff Karnes and Flight Test Engineer Jason Nickel under clear conditions at 10:25 a.m. EST. The Global 7000 (now 7500) has a 11 ft longer fuselage (for four "living spaces") than the Global 6500, new GE Passport engines and a brand new wing. The Global 5500/6500/7500 factory will move to CYYZ when Downsview closes in 2023. This photo is copyright © Kenneth I. Swartz, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
