Canadian Forces CH-113 Labrador, 11307, from 442 Squadron is seen here parked on the Canadian Coast Guard Heliport at Kitsilano Beach as viewed looking west from the Burrard Street Bridge in downtown Vancouver. The heliport used to host frequent helicopter visits from the Canadian Coast Guard base and the Air Force until the wooden pile pier was destroyed in a fire and the heliport never rebuilt. Visiting Coast Guard and RCAF flights now utilize the Vancouver Harbour Heliport or a military heliport at HMCS Discovery, a naval base in the harbour on an island accessible from Stanley Park.
