This airframe initially served with the South African AF, carrying serial "140" and being of the version SA-330C Puma. It was then sold to Denel, who converted it to the version SA-330J under registration ZU-AZJ, before it joined the Cameroon AF in 1997. Two other Pumas had previously entered service with the Cameroon AF, one being TJ-AAL (c/n 1146) in the early 1970's, the 2nd being TJ-XCG (c/n 1181) in 1995.
