The Ontario Provincial Police operated a pair of Aerospatiale AS355F2 TwinStars (C-FOPP, msn 5459 and C-FOPS, msn 5460) between May 1991 and May 2011 until they were replaced by a pair of new Eurocopter EC135P2+ helicopters which were reassigned the same registrations. One of the TwinStars was based at a heliport behind the OPP Headquarters in Orillia, Ontario and the other originally based to the north in Sudbury. Both EC135s were completed at the Eurocopter (now Airbus) helicopter factory in Fort Erie, Ontario and are based at the Orillia heliport. This photo is copyright © Kenneth I.
