A52-611 being removed after a take-off accident. It was stripped of useful parts and dumped. From the air Coomalie Creek today looks like a hub for warbirds but the P-38, Mosquito and other aircraft are nothing more than silhouettes painted on the ground as a memorial to its wartime service.
