This HD-321 started its life as a HD-32 registered F-WGVG and made its first flight as such on 29 December 1953. Not long after the P&W R-1830 engines were replaced by two more powerfull Wright Cyclone engines and the twin fin tail was replaced by a single fin. The aircraft was painted in French Air Force colours with serial 01 and was put through a series of trials. Unfortunatly the aircraft overran a wet grass runway of a private airfield at Eveux-Chambon on 10 May 1960 and was damaged beyond repair. 61 years later the remains can still be found here in horse meadow.
