This was the only Stratofreighter used in the Berlin airlift. Built as a YC-97A then converted to C-97D after being damaged in a landing accident. Not the best quality, but it shows how the Strats had to be landed nose wheel first instead of the normal nose-high flare. This photo was added on 14 August 2021, and has since been viewed 1189 times. |
