This H-47 was once delivered to the US Army as CH-47C with serial 68-15846. It was converted to CH-47D with serial 88-00101 and redelivered on 25 Nov'89. It served for quite a long time - until '11 - the US Army in Europe from Coleman Barracks (Germany). When 101 was deployed to Dublin in support of President Obama's visit to Ireland, it was damaged during its landing in bad weather. The helo was then picked up by an USAF C-17A on 3 Jun'11 and flown back to USA. Luckily, it was inducted into the CH-47F conversion programme, cvtd to CH-47F as 11-08095. On this picture it served F/159th AVN. This photo is copyright © Stephan de Bruijn, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
