Note the nose probe. This aircraft was seconded to Lucas Fuel Systems for research. Sadly it was destroyed in a fatal crash at Farnborough just over a month later on 25th October 1962. Note the outer wing of C-47B KJ808 (msn 14147) which had been struck off charge for spares as long ago as July 1950.
