Adelaide's terminal usefully has a clock to remind interstate travellers to adjust their watches to Central Standard Time. The integrated terminal and tower was part of the new airport when it opened in 1955. A freestanding tower replaced that part in 1982 while the terminal was slowly lost behind various extensions.
