The outline around 168 on the nose reveals this winged UH-60L belonged to Kentuky National Guard, but at the time this picture was made, the Lima was assigned to the 1-111th Aviation Regiment of the 77th Combat Aviation Brigade. The latter was deployed to support Operation Inherent Resolve , the fight against terrorism in Iraq and Syria. Camp Buehring in Kuwait is used for maintenance of the helicopters as well as rest and R&R for the crew.
