VH-TBK was one of two aircraft to receive special promotion liveries in 1980, the other DC-9 VH-TJL "Coral Islander". "Central Australian" was operated for three years before being repainted in TAA's new livery. It was sold to Dan-Air in 1986 as G-BNNI.
