Beagle on display at Parco Tematico dell'Aviazione. The Il-28 was inducted into the 15th Bomber Aviation Division (15th DLB) of the Polish Air Force on 31 Oct 1952. It equipped 7 PLB, 33 PLB and 35 PLB, with separate units formed for recce and naval duties. The last Il-28 flight in Poland took place in 1979. The aircraft was easy to fly and maintain. The 26.47 kN VK-1 turbojets were reliable, capable of running after ingesting birds or branches at low level. The gunport for the NR-23 cannon with 100 rpg can be seen. Two were carried in the nose and two in the manned IL-K6 tail turret.
