This former RCAF Beech (ex 2365) came to the US in April 1973 as N9540, and it has kept that registration ever since. Unfortunately it crashed on take-off from Pope Valley, CA on 12 May 2012, when the #2 engine lost power after reaching an altitude of about 50 feet above the runway. The aircraft crashlanded in a vineyard just beyond the end of the runway and nosed over on its back.
