From First flight in 1958 until production ceased in 1981, Rockwell International (initially North American Aviation) delivered over 800 Sabreliners; series 40 - 80 and the military T-39. This is the sole Saberliner 50 with the Sablreliner 40 fuselage combined with the stronger T-39 wing with hard points for under wing stores. It was acquired by Rockwell's Collins Avionics division in 1976 for flight testing. The aircraft was retired and donated to the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum on January 29, 2013.
