Originally N904BN with Braniff Airways in Sep 89. It is believed that it went directly into storage as the airline had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The aircraft eventually went to America West late 1990 and was re-reg N624AW in Apr 91. Transferred (merger) to US Airways in Sep 2007. Transferred to American Airlines (merger) Dec 2015.
