This is not the real Red Baron Starfighter that was used for speed record flights in 1977 in the USA (see https://www.i-f-s.nl/red-baron/). This aircraft is German AF F-104G 2481, which was wfu in 1973 and painted to represent Darryl Greennamyer's speed record aircraft in 1977. During the Nörvenich open day in 1983, it was still in these colors. It carried the tail of 2452 and the nose from 2494.
