Originally allocated to the RAF in 1944 as FZ471 this aircraft was purchased by Qantas in 1949 and registered VH-EAN. It also carried registrations VH-EBF and VH-EBU until sold to TAA in 1960 . TAA registered it as VH-SBD for service in New Guinea. In 1973 it was sold to Air Niugini as P2-SBD and later changed to P2-ANO.
