Formerly NC16690, this aircraft was bought by the British Air Ambulance Corps in New York and used by the Sea Rescue Flight in the Western Desert. It sank after a take-off accident at Benghazi on 17 May 1943. It was probably not ex PP-PAP (c/n 9402).
