Nene-power prototype. It had the distinction of being the first real emergency use of a Martin Baker ejection seat when on May 30, 1949 the test pilot experienced oscillation and flutter. With the pilot gone, TS363 settled down and glided to a landing in open countryside. The project was abandoned and the prototype scrapped. Armstrong Whitworth photo.
