Although built in 1972, this N.262 was intially stored, not going into service till 1976 when converted to Mohawk 298 spec (to meet US FAR 298 regulation) by repacing the Turbomeca Bastan turboprops with P&WC PT-6As. Sold to Lloyd Aviation (later Queensland Pacific Airlines) as VH-HEI in 6.87. Parked up at Bundaberg, QLD, from 11.95 after the type was wfu with fatigue cracking in the airframe and engine mounts and since sunk as a diving wreck on the Great Barrier Reef This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
