This Sabre was TOC in 1957 at the West German AF testing facility in Manching. It later served with the evelopment consortium Entwicklungsring Süd as an escort plane for test flights of the German VJ-101C VTOL aircraft. The Sabre was retired in 1968 and arrived at the Deutsches Museum in 1971 for display, after restoration, at the Flugwerft Schleissheim. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
