A Caribou that never saw military service is a rarity. Delivered to Guyana Airways as 8R-GDR on June 22, 1970, this one came back to Canada as C-GVYX for Proair in June 1979. It was later operated by Air Inuit, Wardair (as Max Ward's personal aircraft) and Kenn Borek Air. Photographed here still wearing Wardair's northern color scheme, the airplane was written off November 10, 1987 near Ross River, Yukon.
