This 1953 Beaver was originally CF-HGU with Maritime Central Airways in eastern Canada. The next 36 years saw the rugged bushplane flying from Newfoundland to Ontario and the far north until it hit a hidden tree stump on take off in September 1989. Previous accidents were easier to repair than this extended 4 year rebuild that saw the aircraft re-emerge in December 1993. Exported to the USA in 1995, it's been registered N450DM since 1998.
