This was a practice day prior to both the opening of the Fleet Air Arm Museum and an airshow to celebrate the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Naval Air Service, the predecessor of the Fleet Air Arm, at RNAS Yeovilton on 28th May 1964.
