Designed when Scaled Composites was owned by Beechcraft, the Model 81 Catbird is a high efficiency 5 seat single engine aircraft. Stored from the ceiling of Scaled Composites hangar after the company was bought back by Burt Rutan and his partners, the aircraft was made flyable again in 2011.
