This Hip-C was built in October 1974 and served with the Soviet Army Aviation (probably in Afghanistan) and then with the Ukranian Army. It became time expired and was placed into storage in March 2008 with a total time of 5,303 hours. It received a fresh lease of life by becoming the second prototype to undergo modernisation to MSB standard and a new CofR was issued in July 2015. It is now owned by Heliteam CZ but was parked up at LKLT during my visit. It has the Motor Sich logo on the cowling. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
