Photographed from a Cessna 172, the Cabramurra airstrip ( bottom, right) was built as part of the Snowy Mountains Hydro-Electric project. At 5050 feet ASL, it is the highest airstrip in Australia. It was used regularly by DHC-2 Beavers during construction but today is for emergency use only. The town of Cabramurra is on the ridge behind. This photo was added on 23 January 2019, and has since been viewed 461 times.
